Pune: The Pune Institute of Business Management hosted its 15th Convocation Ceremony for the 2022–24 batch at its Pirangut campus, celebrating the academic journey and future aspirations of hundreds of graduating students (PIBM Pune Convocation).
The grand ceremony brought together distinguished guests from governance, industry, and academia who inspired students to embrace ethical leadership, innovation, and the spirit of nation-building.

Presiding over the PIBM Pune convocation ceremony was Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Governor of Jharkhand, who urged graduates to become “duty-prone citizens” and actively support the nation’s march toward Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). “Your degree is not just a personal achievement – it is a commitment to uplift others and make a difference,” he remarked.
Rekha Sharma, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and former NCW Chairperson, emphasized the importance of time management, family values, and the power of persistence. She encouraged students to dream big and become job creators, highlighting the government’s initiatives like Mission Karmayogi and the growing role of AI in research and innovation.
PIBM Pune Convocation: Arvind Goel Encourages Students to Embrace Continuous Learning
Delivering a compelling address at the PIBM Pune convocation, Arvind Goel, Chairman of Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd., spoke about the disruptive yet promising potential of Artificial Intelligence.
“AI is no longer the future – it’s the now,” he said, encouraging students to embrace continuous learning as a key leadership trait. He added that digitization and automation would enhance efficiency rather than replace jobs.
PIBM Chairman & Executive Director Raman Preet shared the institute’s vision for the future, stating, “PIBM is on the path to becoming a Skill University, and we are working relentlessly to achieve global benchmarks in education.” He urged students to think big, take risks, and lead with vision, encouraging them to be in the top 3% of impactful professionals.

The afternoon session was graced by Sandip Singh Gill (SP, Pune Rural), Advocate S.K. Jain, Vinayak Pai (MD & CEO, Tata Projects), Arindam Banerjee (Executive VP, State Street), and Shri Subhas Sarkar (former MoS for Education), who shared valuable insights into leadership, integrity, and purpose-driven careers.
